poetry

cor primum

I've heard some say, 'reason reigns.'

I’ve heard some say, ‘reason reigns;’
Others have held that love maintains;
And though both may speak of victory,
Each have heard, too, the knells of irony;

As for me, regardless the storm or season,
I choose to sail beyond the chart;
For I find, without it, only one higher art:
To reason is treason
If it faults the heart.
